The 9 o’clock traditional service at St Mary’s Church is a quieter, often more reflective service set within the beautiful setting of our lovely old 11th Century Parish Church building. The service is built around the liturgy of the Church of England. It includes readings from scripture (with Bible page references given so people can follow in their pew Bibles), a Bible based sermon, prayers of intercession and sung worship using hymns (Complete Anglican Hymns – Old and New) with a talented organist. Communion is held every first and third Sunday of the month. There is an unmanned children’s corner with books and toys for any children who may attend this service (but there is no children’s programme or groups on site because there are no separate room facilities in our historic church building).
