We don’t have a course running currently, but keep looking out for details of the next one.

Sessions usually take place in the Canterbury Rooms of St Martin’s Church, Ockham Road South, East Horsley KT24 6RL. Click here for a map and directions.

Just turn up! You are welcome whatever your background, we would love to see you there!

Come and join us for a meal, followed by a short talk and discussion over tea/coffee.

What is Alpha?
Alpha is a series of interactive sessions that freely explore the basics of the Christian faith.

Who’s it for?
Alpha is for anyone who’s curious. The talks are designed to encourage conversation and explore the basics of the Christian faith in a friendly, open and informal environment. No question is out of bounds and you are free to discuss as much or as little as you wish.

How does it work?
Alpha is a series of sessions with the option of attending an away day in the middle. Each session includes food, a short talk and a discussion at the end where you can share your thoughts. At any point, if you think Alpha isn’t for you, that’s not a problem. There’s no pressure, no follow up and no charge.

How much is it?
It’s free! (yes really!) There’s no charge to do Alpha.

For more information or to register interest about doing Alpha, please contact our Church Office.

Alpha for me was a brilliant ‘no pressure’ way to learn more, and to reconcile many aspects of Christianity that had sometimes confused me and perhaps constrained a fuller commitment. There was no “Whizz-Bang” moment for me – but I found amongst new friends a quiet and much needed reaffirmation that you can talk to God any time, that he is here among us and has a purpose for us all.
