Phil Herrington
Rector of St Mary’s
Phil is married to Louise and they have two children called Emilia and Rosie. Phil became Rector of St Mary’s in March 2016, having trained at St Mellitus College in London and worked for St Mark’s Battersea Rise and Christ Church, Cockfosters. Prior to that, he worked for several Technology and Management Consultancies in London and Reading as a Recruiter. He enjoys spending time with the girls, mountain and road biking and is a fan of Tottenham Hotspur.

Steve Green
Curate
Steve is married to Helen, and they have four children and two grandchildren. Steve did his theological training in Guildford after working on the leadership team at Emmanuel Church in Stoughton. Prior to that, Steve was on the Bishop’s staff as Director of Education. In terms of a career before the church, Steve was a head teacher of two secondary schools over a period of 16 years. He enjoys spending as much time with his family as possible and playing all sports – although he doesn’t claim to be particularly gifted at any. He supports Plymouth Argyle Football Club.

Edd Cope
Children’s and Youth Minister
Edd is married to Abby, they have two young sons and have been living in Horsley since December 2013. Edd trained as a Children’s and Youth Minister at Oak Hill Theological College and is passionate about seeing young people come to know Jesus and grow in their relationship with God. Edd is pretty convinced that Horsley may be one of the best places to live in the world …but then again he is biased! He loves to play board games with friends and currently owns over 50+ games! He is also a bit of a movie buff and enjoys water sports, especially SUP boarding.

Mary McAllister

Rhiannon Stroud
Office Manager
Rhiannon is married to Tarn and they have three daughters who attend local primary and secondary schools. Rhiannon has been a member of St Mary’s since 2010 and became Office Manager in 2018. Rhiannon is a qualified teacher and before she joined the staff team she worked first as a KS2 primary teacher and then as a Head of Art and DT in a Windsor Middle School. Rhiannon combines her love of art and teaching in the children’s ArtBoost classes that she runs at the Wheelhouse during term time.

Andrew Kitcatt
Worship Leader
Andrew joined the team in September 2021. Born and bred in Horsley, he has been a member of St Mary’s since childhood. Andrew picked up the guitar at the age of 14, and music has been his passion since learning his first song. He also has an MA in Theology & Religious Studies from the University of Exeter, where he led worship for the Evangelical Christian Union. When he’s not working, he’ll be socialising, writing music, or reading a tome from his extensive (and proudly alphabetised) collection of books. He also enjoys anything water-related, exploring the Surrey Hills and kicking a football about.

Catherine Robinson
Church Office Administrator
Catherine has worked in our Church office since 2015 and very much enjoys being part of the staff team here at St Mary’s. Catherine grew up in West Horsley but now lives in Ashtead with her two daughters. Before working at St Mary’s, Catherine was a nanny/ childminder for over 30 years. She loves to read and also enjoys shopping and spending time with her friends and family.

Abby Cope
Communications Manager
Abby is married to Edd and they have two young sons. Abby has been looking after our communications at St Mary’s since 2015, including our website, social media and church magazine. Prior to this, Abby trained in the Events and Hospitality Industry, specialising in customer service and weddings. She loves to bake and her chocolate tiffins and rocky road are a favourite in Horsley! She also enjoys a good Rom-Com and eating out (when not chasing two young boys around!)
